Dee Snider's Son Gets Mugged on His Way to Tribeca

The most interesting aspect of Cody Blue Snider's dark comedic short Fool's Day is nowhere to be found on the movie's Tribeca Film Festival page. For that, readers must turn to a nearby Patch site.

Just a few weeks ago, Cody Blue was mugged as he headed out of a New York City location with his final digital film print in hand on a hard drive in his backpack. The thieves got away with his phone and almost, as well, his wallet.

But as Cody Blue told Three Village Patch, there's no way he was going to surrender his latest artistic work:

“Have you ever had anything that doesn’t feel real? You go into autopilot,” Snider said in an interview with Patch. “I was just glad I didn’t get stabbed.”

Fool's Day, about an elementary school prank gone horribly wrong, was actually written by two sons of Twisted Sister rocker (and executive producer) Dee Snider - Cody Blue and Shane. It played April 18th and 21st, and is scheduled to screen twice more at Tribeca on April 24th and 28th.

Snider's second short was made with the help of some 2012 Kickstarter funding.
