The 'Kosher Salma Hayek' Tackles Her Next Project

Having found her "chutzpah" by means of an 11-part Web series that averaged close to 20,000 views per episode, Jewish actress and comedienne Jessie Kahnweiler is enlarging her DIY view to all cultures and religions.

Never mind that the Indiegogo community hasn't exactly jumped on board a fundraising campaign set to close at midnight tonight. Chances are Kahnweiler will find other ways to bridge the gap for her follow-up project to Dude, Where's my Chutzpah?

Here's how she describes White Noise :

A comedic web series that follows Jessie as she embeds herself in various sub-cultures around Los Angeles. Part documentary, part scripted comedy, the series blends Jessie's authentic curiosity with her natural inclination towards social faux pas. Each episode will focus on a specific sub-culture as Jessie enlists the help of locals in each community in order to challenge cultural stereotypes while exploring the origins behind them... It's like Portlandia sprinkled with a little Borat and a lot more soul.

Given the success of Dude, Where's my Chutzpah?, the lack of Indiegogo funds is somewhat surprising. But that is, sometimes, the way the Matzah ball crumbles. In the meantime, if you want to find out more about this enterprising social chronicler, check out her recent interview with Jews Kick Ass.
