Chicago's 'Best Looking Film' Moves On to Ohio

The award given to short film Red Luck at this spring's Chicago Underground Film Festival has an unusual name and an even more unusual statuette. For their efforts, writer-director Mike Olenick and cinematographer Barry Horschakt claimed the honor of "Best Looking Film" and a Kenneth Anger doll.

It's impossible not to think of Into the Wild's Christopher McCandless when considering the similarly bold life choice made by Daniel Suelo. As a new feature documentary is about to remind, Suelo in 2002 chose Utah as his moneyless-existence destination and has mercifully been more fortunate when it comes to the consumption of exotic wilderness food.

When the first edition of The Billings Gazette rolled off the presses in the spring of 1885, it was a single page. A couple of decades later came the Babcock Theatre, completed downtown in 1907 and recently restored by its third owners, a collective of local residents.
