Internet Cat Video Festival Ready for Minneapolis Encore

Since launching last year, the 2012 event has toured extensively across the U.S. and abroad. But the official second annual edition of this goofy shorts compilation is set for the night of August 28th at the Minnesota State Fair.

Co-hosting the proceedings will be comedienne and podcaster extraordinaire Julie Klausner. In addition to 70 minutes' worth of newer and older shorts, there will be other on-site attractions such as a "silent disco" from Funny or Die and an interactive cat video project by San Francisco–based artist Maria Mortati.

The festivities will also include the handing out of Golden Kittys, the Walker Art Center's nod to the Oscars. Best of all, the Midwestern cat-jinks will be live streamed on the Animal Planet website, allowing all those who desire to get in on the hashtag fun.
