Founded in 2007, John Shackleton's Wales-based Movie Mogul Ltd. is all about involving a community of film fans and new talent in the selection, participation and financing of micro-budget feature films. Front and center in that regard is Panic Button, a would-be social networking themed thriller about a quartet of contest winners who board a private jet only to discover that the in-flight entertainment is a life-or-death online gaming challenge.
Although the social network that sponsors the film's contest is fictitious, the corresponding website - All2Gethr.com - is very real, another sign of the ingenious cross-platform ambitions of Shackleton and Panic Button director Chris Crow. Fundraising for the project has only just begun, but already there is a short video teaser created by students at Brigend College and news that Richard Burton one-man stage show star Joshua Richards has been cast in the role of Callahan.
